APS-143G & AN/APS-508

Telephonics’ APS-143G and AN/APS-508 multi-mission ISR radar systems combine high-performance maritime, littoral and land surveillance capabilities with a fully integrated Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) interrogator into a single system. This COTS-based radar is designed for medium to large fixed-wing aircraft on long-range surveillance missions over sea, land or air. The AN/APS-508 is currently deployed on the CP-140 Aurora platform.

The Telephonics Advantage

    • Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar (ISAR) imaging at 1 m with range profiling mode
    • 3-phase Ground Moving Target Indicator (GMTI) target detection beyond 65 NM
    • Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imaging at 0.4 m resolution, with extended ranges imaging beyond 60 NM including integrated range zoom
    • Enhanced small target detection mode at greater ranges in high-sea states
    • Long-range maritime search, air surveillance modes and fully integrated IFF interrogator provide target detections out to 200 NM

Additional Benefits

    • Doppler Beam Sharpened (DBS) mapping
    • Dual video cards
    • Squint SAR
    • Image stabilization
    • Optical delay line
    • Self-calibration
    • 120 RPM scan rate
    • Programmable wave form
    • Back-to-back arrays (vertical and horizontal polarization)
