The AN/AIC-49 Audio Intercommunication System is a version of Telephonics Secure Digital Intercommunication (SDI) system configured specifically for Maritime Surveillance Aircraft (MSA) platforms. The AN/AIC-49 uses standard SDI elements to provide for a crew of 12 operators, with larger, full audio asset access panels for the flight crew and mission planning operators, and smaller, space-saving control panels, providing full transmit and receive capability for the mission crew positions.
