Microwave Landing and Guidance:

Telephonics is proud to claim a long and successful history of providing safe landings for aircraft worldwide. Each U.S. Navy aircraft carrier employs Telephonics Landing and Guidance Systems, as do other Navies around the world. NASA also enjoys the safety and security of Telephonics-designed ground stations and receivers. Our ground systems are deployed worldwide to support Space Shuttle landings, and our landing guidance receivers are installed on each shuttle aircraft.

Telephonics' landing systems have been an integral part of, and have played a critical role in, ensuring the safety of carrier based aircraft for over 25 years. Over 25 systems are deployed with the U.S. Navy CV, CVN, LHA, and LHD class ships and have an outstanding record of performance. The AN/SPN-41 uses advanced microwave scanning beam technology providing very large guidance windows for incoming aircraft.
