  • Telephonics Appoints Richard Hines as Chief Technology Officer

  • Telephonics Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Griffon Corporation (NYSE:GFF), announced today that Mr. Richard Hines has been appointed Chief Technology Officer (CTO). In this role, Mr. Hines will be responsible for establishing and directing Telephonics’ technical strategic vision as well as leading all technology development.

    Mr. Hines will report directly to Mr. Kevin McSweeney, Telephonics’ Chief Operating Officer (COO), and will lead the Telephonics engineering organization. He will also serve as the liaison between engineering and senior management to drive product development and ensure the company’s strategic technology mission is fulfilled.

    Mr. Hines joined Telephonics in 1996 and has been responsible for successfully leading key transportation and tactical vehicle communications development programs. Named Corporate Vice President, Engineering, in early 2010, Mr. Hines has led Telephonics’ research and development activities while overseeing the company’s engineering staff of 270.
