  • Telephonics Terminal Approach Radar Successfully Integrates with South Korean Air Traffic Control System

  • Telephonics Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Griffon Corporation (NYSE:GFF), announced today the successful integration and final Busan Regional Aviation Authority (BRAA) approval of its terminal approach radar into the Uljin, South Korea Air Traffic Control system. The new radar system includes an S-band Primary Surveillance Radar (PSR), a Monopulse Secondary Surveillance Radar (MSSR) with mode S capability, as well as the integration of Uljin radar data with the Pohang Airport Approach Control Center.

    The project, which began in 2012, consisted of site survey/planning, civil works, the furnishing of a 25 meter tower, associated shelter construction as well as the design, delivery, installation and commissioning of the radar system.
